Hours: 33 hours per week (3 nights)
Being a Support Worker Supervisor at RNIB is a rewarding and wonderful opportunity to improve the quality of life for older people with significant sight loss and other disabilities, within our well-established care home in Harrogate.
As a Support Worker Supervisor, you will be part of the RNIB night team, supervising the Social Care Workers and overseeing the resident's well-being, safety and care during the night, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to, following the RNIB and CQC guidelines.
To be successful you will have experience of working with older people as well as supervisory experience within a care setting and a minimum QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent or prepared to work towards this.
Experience of working with older people who have sight problems, hearing impaired, or dual sensory loss is desirable but not essential. You must however have a good knowledge of care standards in regards to older people, care legislation and CQC frameworks and the ability to use Microsoft Office packages, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.
