SENIOR NURSE - SOUTHAMPTON, HAMPSHIRECIRCA GBP17 PER HOUR - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEKWhite Knight Recruitment are working with a national charity who are the largest provider of respite holidays for disabled people and carers in the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Nurse who is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating guest care. You will also be acting as a member of the care team and working with the multi-professional team.The main duties of the position are, but not limited to:Delivery of CareTo assist in developing a caring, supportive and spiritual atmosphere for our guests.To maintain professional and ethical standards and set a high standard of guest care.To develop specialist skills in respite holiday provision without direct supervision.To share in the responsibility within the nursing team for planning, implementing and evaluating total care of our guests.To support the General Manager in their role as the Registered Manager to meet the requirements of a regulated service.ClinicalTo act as team leader in assessing the individual needs of the guest, to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs.Initiate, supervise and participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the total care of the guest and their families.Evaluate and document nursing care continuously.Be involved in a multidisciplinary approach to guest care together with other professionals in the centre team.Accept professional accountability for extension of own clinical practice.Keep abreast of current nursing concepts and be prepared to adopt new methods of guest care as appropriate.This position requires the person to be a Registered Nurse on an appropriate part(s) of the register, in order to meet the full requirements of the post. Skills and Experience Required:Two years post-registration experience, with evidence of on-going continuing professional development.Working knowledge of Health & Social Care Act 2008 and National Minimum Standards.Excellent organisation, administrative, written and verbal skills.Demonstrable leadership and management skills.Excellent IT skills.Training experience.Ability to source evidence based practice/best practice guidance.Clinical skillsShift leader experienceTeam development experienceAppraisal training and experienceThe successful candidate will be offered a 37.5 hour per week contract paying circa GBP17 per hour depending on experience whereby you would be required to work some unsociable hours such as evenings and weekends.To discuss this position in more detail please contact Ben Dixon at White Knight Recruitment on or you wish to view a full list of our vacancies please visit
