GBP32,000 - GBP35,000, depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our CREATE (Community, Recovery, Education, Assessment and Therapeutic Experience) Service, a parallel service, running alongside our schools, for an Education Specialist. We are seeking to appoint a Senior ASC Teacher in our CREATE across our two hub provisions to support us on our journey to sustained excellence and best practice in this field.
The TCES Group of Schools is a major, highly successful provider of education in London and the South East for vulnerable young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
We are an expanding Social Enterprise with a pioneering approach to re-engaging pupils through an innovative five part curriculum, a socio-educational model which has at its forefront multi-agency partnerships and solutions for the diverse and complex needs of our pupils.
We believe in the inherent right of every child and young person to access full time education whatever their personal circumstances. The CREATE approach holds this belief at the center of the Therapeutic Education programme that we provide. This service is based on the provision of intensive emotional support, assertive outreach and supported education.
We offer a four part curriculum designed to meet the academic, vocational, therapeutic and behavioural needs of pupils with highly challenging SEMH with additional complex needs. These pupils are not currently able to benefit from being educated within local authority provision.
Key requirements for the posts are:
- QTS or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrable experience of working in an education environment with children with SEN, but specifically ASC.
- Demonstrable good judgement, emotional intelligence, commitment, reliability and integrity
- Competitive terms & conditions.
- A full CPD program including opportunities to undertake professional qualifications, and specialist training from experts in Teaching and Learning, Social Care, mental health and multi-agency working.
