Qualified Social Worker - Team Manager - CP/CIN/LAC
Aurora Resourcing are working in Partnership with a Local Authority to find them a Team Manager for their Locality Team (Children and Families) on a Locum basis.
You will be located in the beautiful coastal, South East Devon region known for it's hidden beaches and slower pace of life, perfect for those looking to settle in a calmer environment.
You'll be responsible for developing and ensuring high quality service provision for children and families, providing leadership to operational teams. Leading three or four teams you will determine priorities, assess needs and safeguard children to promote positive outcomes in line with national standards.
In initiating and delivering strategies and plans you'll work closely with other areas of children's services, partners and other agencies and ensure that performance expectations are known and understood by all staff. You'll contribute to the strategic development of children's social care and Children, Families and Community Health more widely by taking lead responsibility for your part of the service and specific aspects of work, developing skills and knowledge of the team.

The post is for a minimum of 3 months and you will have the option to go into a permanent contract if you wish.
This post is a designated Team Manager responsible for the line management of a team of people and delivering an element of the service.
• To support the Councils visions and priorities both internally and externally
• To identify and address individual development needs and manage performance of team members.
• To prioritise and plan team objectives
• To identify and highlight resource issues to the Service Delivery Manager
• To ensure team meet their objectives and targets within agreed timeframes
