Casual Care Officer
An opportunity has become available for a casual Care Officer at Chestnuts Day Centre in Bognor Regis. Hours and rota to be discussed at interview.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic person to join our team.
Chestnuts Day centre is one of the specialist day services run by WSCC; it provides 5 days a week with specialist trained staff to residents of Bognor and surrounding areas. Staff are on site from 8am-5pm.
Chestnut's is a dementia specialist Centre, working in partnership with other dementia agencies, for example Alzheimer's society and carer support groups.
The role of the Care Officer is to work as part of the senior team with the Manager and Assistant Manager, contributing to the management of day-to-day operational issues. You will deliver a high quality service through development and implementation of objectives of support plans for each customer which maximises independence, choice and opportunities.
The successful candidate will be creative and develop innovative activities which ensure the physical, social and emotional needs of the customers at the centre are met.
You will be involved in leading and supervising a group of support workers, acting as duty officer on a rotated basis. Assuming the responsibility for managing the day to day running of the centre according to the policies and procedures of West Sussex County Council.
