Service Manager / Home Manager

Location: Dumfries

Salary: GBP53,000 - GBP55,000 per annum + Up to 20% Bonus

Hours: Full time

Person Specification -

As the Manager of the care home you will play a key role in taking the time to get to know the residents and their families, so you can ensure the best possible person centred care is delivered. You will be responsible for creating and updating care plans to ensure they are accurately maintained for auditing purposes, maintaining clear, precise and up-to-date medication records for all our residents.

You will take responsibility for all aspects and areas of care within the home, whilst promoting our key values of choice, dignity and respect. Always seeking to share your clinical knowledge and experience, you will provide valuable support to members of the home's care team, offering valuable guidance and assistance.

You will occasionally be expected to provide cover outside of normal hours, as required.

* Ensuring all staff deliver positive and measurable outcomes for the people we support
* Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and national minimum standards
* Ensure all needs of the people we support are identified and their assessed needs met and supported by the implementation of appropriate regular reviewed Support Plans and risk assessments
* Ensure the NMC Code of Conduct is adhered to
* Adhered to company policies and procedures
* Ensure the service and its resources' are managed effectively, economically and efficiently
* Maintain effective budgetary management and control and achieve profitability
* Prepare and submit all budgetary and other financial information as directed
* Ensure staff receive required levels of supervision, training and support to ensure that the needs of both the people suppo

Person specification -

* Ideally, you will be a level one Registered Nurse
* A formal management qualification such as the Registered Manager Award, Certificate in Management or equivalent is desirable
* Someone who shares our passion and dedication for making every day special for residents
* The ability to build a warm rapport with residents and their families
* A natural educator with leadership experience, you will constantly look for ways to share knowledge of best practice with those around you
* A good time manager, who can prioritise effectively and work independently
