Our respected Domiciliary Care Manager is retiring and we are pleased to be offering the opportunity for a dynamic forward thinking professional to join Torcare and take our budding Domiciliary Care Services into the next phase.

Torcare is an established care provider, well respected with a proven track record in providing quality care services within the community. You will be instrumental in leading a team of dedicated staff in meeting the needs of our client group. You will also be responsible for a small Residential Home of 16 beds which is well organised by our experienced staff team.

Salary: GBP30,000.00 per annum

Registered Manager of a Domiciliary Care Service and Residential Services.

We deliver care and support services within the Community and Residential Services.

Usual working hours: You will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. Your normal hours of work will be 9-5 Mon to Friday.

Report to: Directors / General Manager

Responsible for: A team of care workers, senior care workers, Ancillary Staff.

Liaison with: Managers within the group, CQC, Commissioning Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day to day running of the Domiciliary Care Services.

Manage the day to day running of the care home supported by an established team of carers.

Planning, directing and delivery of high quality person centred care.

Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Organisation of staff rotas, reviews, team meetings, training and mentoring.

Marketing promotion and sales

Dealing with all prospective home care clients including initial assessment.

Dealing with all prospective residents for the home including home tours and initial assessment.

Ensure appropriate paperwork in place for new domiciliary clients.

Welcome new residents and complete appropriate records and paperwork.

To be accountable for the health and safety and well-being of staff and users of the services.

You will be fully supported by our company's Health and Safety Manager, Training Manager, and Recruitment Manager.

Undertake training and development to ensure best practice maintained.

Accountable for auditing records and procedures across the Domiciliary Services and Residential.

To take ownership of quality assurance and governance through service reviews, internal audits, annual reviews and spot checks.

To complete risk assessment and support plans and to ensure the well-being of our clients.

Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements, and to ensure the effective running of the business.

Be prepared to work flexibly in line with the needs of the service.

Promote the services through liaison with the local authority and CQC ensuring good working relationships are formed.

What you will need:

Experience working in Domiciliary Care Services and experience of Residential, Elderly care services.

Experience in Dementia care.

You will have supervisory/management experience in a Domiciliary Care Setting and a Residential care setting.

Must have Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership Management or equivalent or be willing to work towards achieving it in 18-24 months (dependant on applicant).

Strong knowledge of CQC standards.

Skilled in the selection and retention of staff.

Professional, confident and warm personality.

Reliable and punctual.

Willing and able to provide an out of hours call service.

Forward thinking and creative with a positive outlook.
