Departmental Education Manager
GBP44,510 to GBP53,800 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to join Imperial College London's Department of Medicine, one of the largest teaching and research organisations in the UK, with a reputation for excellence and a vibrant and international working community.
Through the delivery of undergraduate, taught postgraduate, PhD and MD (Res) programmes of study, the Department aims to educate the next generation of leaders in Medicine, Molecular Medicine, Clinical and Health Sciences. The Departmental Education Manager is responsible for managing the operational delivery and strategic development of these programmes. They will ensure the effective and efficient coordination and management of all undergraduate and postgraduate courses run within the Department, and oversee the provision of support to postgraduate research students (PGRs), through the delivery of a strategically planned educational service and strong management of a large team.
The post holder will be expected to work actively to help identify and develop innovative opportunities for education initiatives, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable business cases for courses. They will also be responsible for the recruitment of students onto programmes of study to ensure that admissions targets are met.
Significant relevant and high level experience in medical education administration is key. Exemplary organisational skills, the ability to share best practice whilst motivating and leading teams is essential. He/she will also need to be able to demonstrate and exert strong interpersonal and effective relationship building skills with those at all levels of the organisation, excellent financial management and a tactful and diplomatic nature.
This is a full time, open ended opportunity, primarily based at Hammersmith Hospital Campus with the requirement to travel to other Imperial College campuses when needed.
