HCPC Registered Social Worker - Quad Family Support , Children's & Fam
London Borough of Sutton has a fantastic opportunity for experienced social workers to join their Delivery front-line teams.
The Quad Family Support Service is a 0-18 multi-disciplinary, locality based Child in Need Service, which currently includes some Child Protection, Looked after Children and Court cases. The service seeks to provide a multi-disciplinary response to families who are at risk and in need to prevent the escalation of concern and further entry into children services interventions. The focus is on working with families as a whole.

•Competitive starting salary of between GBP31,683 - GBP38,760 depending on experience
•Welcome payment of GBP1000 for all external appointments
•GBP1000 annual retention payments if appointed at GBP34,590 and above (depending on experience)
This role would be regarded as a "front line" service delivery role. Role holders are directly accountable for performance, often through the direct control of significant resources or through managed contracts. These roles may also deliver some of their results through collaborative working with co-producers or other third party agencies.
At the lower levels, operational managers may oversee a department or team and at the lowest levels, direct contact with service users will be a common feature of roles in this job family. At the higher levels, they may be in charge of a department, large operational area or the management of significant contracts and may be ultimately accountable for ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
You will have accountability for achieving clearly specified and measurable results either personally or through the leadership of a team. You will be dealing with complex problems and issues within the boundaries of technical or professional skill and knowledge. You will make recommendations on procedural improvements and other initiatives to enhance team performance. You will require a level of professional expertise to deliver a front line service .
You will be accountable for delivering advice and guidance in a broad area of expertise to ensure customer needs are met.
Identify and implement improvements in own work area in order to deliver continuous service improvement and improved outcomes to customers.
Regularly communicate with internal customers to share information and build working relationships to support collaborative working.
Keep up to date with changes in relevant policy and legislation to ensure delivery in own work area is effective and complies with appropriate regulations/statutory guidance

Use regular supervision meetings to reflect on: (i) Casework, including overall plans and outcomes (ii) Accountability and priority of work (iii) Professional development and training
Attend and contribute to team and other relevant meetings.
Prepare for and contribute to the annual appraisal and undertake required continuing professional development
Keep up to date with service and professional developments.
Undertake the Post Qualifying Award Training.
Undertake the practice teaching award training and provide "practice teaching" support to trainee/student social workers.
Provide consultation and advice to junior colleagues, particularly in relation to statutory proceedings and interventions
Comply with the codes and standards of the HCPC.
