Senior Timetabling Officer
Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional arts university dedicated to turning creativity into careers. Offering courses in art, design, architecture, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Timetabling Officer to lead the University's timetabling function. The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver who will use a comprehensive understanding of the University's academic offer, and strategic priorities, to ensure the most effective deployment of space in support of the student experience.
You will manage the University's timetabling team, and oversee the annual timetabling project. Excellent communication skills are required to explain the principles of timetabling to staff who may not share the same priorities, and also to provide training to staff who are given permission to make minor changes to the timetable. You will also need to possess excellent analytical skills, and will be able to deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
You will need to have a good understanding of relational databases, and the implications of integration with other University systems, to ensure that best value can be gained from the Celcat timetabling database. Training in the specific software will be provided.
