As the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk you will have the following responsibilities:

Key Result Areas:

  • Controlled efficient processes with continuous improvement and development
  • Management information provision
  • Administrative Support

Key Tasks:

  • Sole Management of all aspects of Accounts Payable for all supplier relationships, authorisations, payments, administration and reconciliations
  • Be the first point of contact to internal and external stakeholders for any aspect of invoice and supplier management
  • Develop and maintain effective systems & procedures to make the Accounts Payable function more efficient
  • Management of the Credit Card and Expenses processes for UK & Eire
  • Month end support, journal entry and prepayments and accruals
  • Journal uploads of invoices
  • Daily sales reporting for UK & Eire
  • Support for ad hoc projects, including implementation and ongoing management of BACS process
  • Management of post for the finance team
  • Any other duties as delegated and as might be reasonably required

Personal attributes and skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the finance function of a strong branded business
  • Minimum 3 years experience in accounts payable
  • Proven ability to improve controls and streamline processes
  • A high level of organisation, with the ability to perform a broad range of tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong capacity for solving problems and planning ahead
  • A flexible and enthusiastic attitude toward tasks assigned
  • The ability to remain calm and deliver results whilst under pressure
  • The ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • A friendly, flexible approach to work
  • Commitment to working as part of an expanding, creative and innovative organisation
  • A high level of experience and proficiency in accounting systems & Excel
