Supervising Social Worker - Permanent - IFA - Co. Durham
Excellent opportunity with a varied role. Join a well established organisation that has a rigorous matching and assessment process for their carers, which means stable placements and happy fostering households.
This role has the variety of completing Form F assessments, doing initial visits as well has holding your own caseload of up to 12 foster carers. The range of tasks means you can keep up your assessing skills, but the low caseload means there is no compromise on the quality of care delivered to foster carers, which is often found in Local Authorities.
Be part of a small cohesive team made up of experienced professionals who have worked in fostering in the North East, where you can share practice ideas and also contribute to the culture of the IFA.
Their strong leadership and management were commended by OFSTED, so you will have the support and guidance where needed, with clear objectives and roles.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced supervising social worker who is spoken highly of by their carers. You should be able to form strong professional relationships with carers and understand each and every one of their individual needs. You will be happy and willing to take on additional responsibilities in the development of the service too, depending on your skillset and career aspirations.
You will be joining a small team, which means that it's about having the right person in the team and you must be a good fit for the cooperative nature of the team.
