Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time Only (40 working weeks per year).

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative Learner Services and Support Coordinator. Working closely with the Site Manager (Berkeley Green), SEND Manager, Deputy Head Learner Services & UTC Principal and curriculum areas you will ensure that the learner services and learning support provision is delivered to the highest standard, meeting the needs of the learners consistently and equitably, in line with College Strategic Priorities and the 2014 SEND reforms.
You will need to have experience of working with a wide range of learners, of different ages and who may be difficult to engage. Learners may have barriers to learning, including physical disabilities. You will also need to have an understanding of the SEND reforms and working knowledge of Education Health and Care Plans and knowledge of assessing support needs and annual reviews.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with a specified curriculum faculty to provide pastoral support to an agreed caseload of "at risk" learners in order to maintain their attendance and maximise their progress and achievement. You will liaise with a range of internal college functions and external agencies to secure appropriate pastoral support.
You will deliver individual support to the learners to improve engagement in learning, remove barriers to learning, improve attainment, improve resilience and promote self-confidence by supporting their emotional, social, mental health and well-being.
Working closely as a team and with the Deputy Head of Department, you will ensure that the provision of pastoral support is delivered to the highest standard, meeting the needs of the learners consistently and equitably, in line with College Strategic Priorities.
You will need experience of working with a wide range of students of different ages and backgrounds who may not be easy to engage, and may have a range of barriers to learning. You will also need to be trained to a Level 3 standard in Safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
