Unicef ensures more of the world's children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we're not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

We are looking for an exceptional individual for the role of Head of Campaigns & Advocacy, to lead the development of ambitious, high impact strategies to achieve change for children. These strategies will bring together public campaigning and lobbying plans, including identifying high level influencing opportunities to achieve policy and advocacy objectives.

You will lead a team of nine people and manage the design of compelling messages to engage external audiences to achieve political objectives, working closely with colleagues across the organisation, and co-ordinate the cross-organisational implementation of Unicef UK's campaign and advocacy strategies.

To succeed, you will have substantial experience of working on campaigns on international development, with a robust understanding of the role that the UK public can play in achieving political change. You will understand the challenges and the opportunities that the international development sector faces when engaging UK audiences in mobilising support for our agenda, and you will have experience of working with colleagues in fundraising teams to devise integrated supporter journeys. You will have previously devised high impact influencing strategies on international development, and have substantial experience of using the media to achieve political change.
