Senior Policy and Influencing Officer
The Migraine Trust is the largest charity in the UK dedicated to providing support and information, and campaigning for people affected by migraine. We also fund and promote migraine research. We passionately believe that through our work we can transform the lives of those who suffer from migraine.
Despite its prevalence migraine remains a relatively under resourced and under researched long-term health condition. With new treatments on the horizon and a growing interest amongst senior policy makers this is an exciting time to join the policy and influencing team. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise and skills to genuinely shape the future of migraine support and care in the UK.
You will be a driven, articulate and experienced health policy and influencing professional. You will be passionate about challenging inequalities facing people with migraine, particularly access to treatment, and ensuring that the views of people living with the condition are at the heart of their support and care. You will possess the skills to research, analyse, produce and communicate clear policy positions to effectively influence others.
You will have the confidence and necessary "know-how" to strengthen relationships with and influence key decision makers. You will also lead the charge in raising the profile of migraine, and the issues affecting people living with the condition, in Westminster and the devolved parliaments.
With a high level of initiative and the ability to think creatively in the face of challenges, you will be willing to take responsibility for your own workload and contribute to the development of the policy and influencing strategy. Importantly, you will possess the confidence, and a genuine desire, to challenge the status quo.
