Are you hard-working, adaptable, resilient and self-motivated with a proven track record of working with challenging families and ready to play a vital role in supporting a specialist MST team in Leicester?

MST CAN went live in Leicester in 2016 and to date is showing great success in helping children subject to physical abuse and neglect to remain safely at home. We are seeking a fixed term cover for our Case Support Worker post. The post involves working with parents of and children aged 6-17 in families who are on the cusp of being taken into care due to complex parenting issues.

You will be part of a team delivering MST interventions according to the specifications and requirements set out in the MST license and working collaboratively with partners and communities. The supervisor will be available to support the case support worker implementing MST 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which includes standby duty via a telephone 'on call' service as required.

Requirements of the post:

  • Must have a relevant qualification
  • Must have experience in working with challenging families and resilience in dealing with the abuse and neglect of children in a non- judgmental and goal oriented manner.
  • Have an understanding of evidence based interventions.
  • You will be expected to work flexibly with unsocial hours to ensure family engagement and support the lead professional in all cases.
