We are looking for a highly skilled passionate Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to collaborate with our Senior Stakeholders to effectively deliver learning solutions for the DVLA.

You will have the experience to build effective relationship across HR and the wider business to support the design of a learning strategy, working in partnership with the business to identify, source and deliver appropriate Learning and Development activities and solutions.

We will look for you to ensure that the Agency's learning and development solutions are continually evaluated and improved in line with business needs and targets, through research and best practice. Assessing the effectiveness of current learning interventions and give regular feedback on value for money.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage the development of learning and development interventions in line with the Agency's skills & competency frameworks, Professional Skills for Government, Skills Strategy for Government and Investors in People
• Manage the process of developing the values and principles of Investors in People (IiP) in the Agency and provide Investors in People (IiP) information to the business. Process and manage the Investors in People assessment
• Advise on a range of developmental services associated with the outcomes from Assessment and Development processes. Provide progress reports to Department for Transport
• Build good working relationships and provide specialist L&D advice and support to managers/business partners and staff throughout the Agency
• Ensure value for money with procuring training solutions and effective spend of the DVLA L&D budget
• Continuously review and assess the effectiveness of current learning interventions and give regular feedback to training designers/those responsible for procurement & delivery
• Work with project teams, external supplier's managers and teams to identify L&D requirements to enable successful implementation of change initiatives
• Ensure value for money with procuring training solutions and effective spend of the DVLA L&D budget
• Build and maintain effective internal and external customer and stakeholder relationships to deliver interventions such as mentoring, coaching and a range of work placements
• To lead the learning and development co-ordinator and administrative team in delivering work placements and supporting L&D interventions

Person Overview:

We are looking for passion and genuine interest in learning, it would be great if you had experience of designing and delivering training solutions.

You will ideally have a background in Learning and Development and evidence of collaborating with stakeholders.

You will have exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to influence across all levels across the organisation.

We are looking for a strong team player who can remain composed under pressure, who plans effectively and deliver results.

You will have the leadership capability to lead a multi skilled administration team.
