DELIVER STRATEGIC VISION AND LEADERSHIP

Maldon District Council is looking for a leader with drive and energy to take up a key role as part of their corporate Leadership Team.

As the Director of Planning and Regulatory Services you will have overall responsibility for the functions delivered within the Planning and Regulatory Services Directorate, including Planning, Housing, Environment Services and Economic Development.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this influential post is part of our collaborative and effective Corporate Leadership Team. The post holder will make a major contribution to the Council's cultural and transformational change agenda and will help to develop and promote a culture that empowers staff and build on the 'can do' approach that already exists here at Maldon.

You will work closely with elected members and will be the lead officer supporting our Planning and Licensing Committee.

You will be a driving force in helping us deliver the commitments set out in our Local Development Plan, including working with developers and partners to ensure delivery of our garden suburbs and associated infrastructure. You will also take a lead role, working alongside partners to help us deliver our economic growth targets and lead our "Open for Business" culture change agenda.

With multiple interesting projects, such as supporting the Council in maximising the benefit of the new nuclear power station at Bradwell within your remit, this is an exciting time to be involved with Maldon District Council.
