GBP27,400 for 0-2 years nursing experience
GBP32,400 for 2+ years nursing experience

*1st stage is an informal visit to look round the prison healthcare department, so those new to this setting can see what it's like before committing to a formal interview *

Magnetic is working with a prison in South Wales to find an experienced Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities / RNLD to provide care for patients with a wide range of conditions in a prison healthcare department similar to a walk-in centre, medical centre or A+E, where prisoners make appointments to see the doctor, nurse, dentist etc.

Full training will be given if you are new to prison healthcare, experience in this setting is not necessary, just the right attitude. New starters are often surprised at how relaxed and enjoyable working in a prison can be. This is an extremely varied role, no two days are the same, and offers nurses fantastic opportunities for training to enhance your CPD.

The Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities / RNLD will treat psychiatric problems with associated Learning Disabilities & Autistic Spectrum, working closely with the relevant teams within the Prison to develop a pathway of care for identified patients and provide appropriate interventions and treatments as necessary.

Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities / RNLD requirements:
• Qualified Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities / RNLD
• 6 months minimum experience ideally, although newly qualified with the right attitude and training will be considered too.
• Must be able to work occasional nights (essential)

40 hours per week, 4x10hr shift on, 4 off, with 4 nights worked every 12 weeks (essential)
