Salary: Circa GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 doe

We are actively seeking a Management Accountant to join a well-established, growing company in the Poole area. The successful Management Accountant will be required to manage the finance department and support the strategic development of the business at all times.

The successful candidate will provide financial reporting to senior managers and shareholders and have overall responsibility for the management of the accounting function within the business. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to credit control, purchasing, insurances, financial contracts and agreements, salaries and wages as well as pensions and any other anomalies.

You will also have experience of leading and managing a small team (2) - both in their day to day activities but also appraisals and reviews.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, qualified management accountant with a resilient, analytical approach to their work. You will be an innovative thinker who is focused on continuous improvement and have excellent attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.

Key responsibilities will include:
•Liaising and corresponding with external parties and auditors as required
•Ensuring that the business complies with all legal regulatory requirements
•Overseeing a small finance team to ensure the smooth running of the finance department
•Ensuring that all processes and procedures are implemented and developed, ensuring continuous improvement at all times
•Maintaining an understanding of financial budgets and taking responsibility for management thereof
•Our client is looking for someone who has a strong understanding of financial statements, including profit & loss and managing budgets. In addition, an understanding of monthly management accounts in line with budget allocation is also required

System experience and / or qualifications required:
•Excellent Outlook, Word and Excel Skills
•Required ability in Microsoft Office, FileMaker, HMRC Online & Pensions Software
•Certified in Financial & Management Accounting
