Our client is a rapidly-growing, acquisitive and well-capitalised PE-backed financial services lender in the B2C and B2B markets and is based in the City.

This is a new role reporting to the CFO. Responsibilities are to provide accurate forecasts, budgets and analysis across all business lines and act as effective Finance Business Partner to management team.

Acting as Head of FP&A and Senior Business Partner in almost equal measures your first priority will be exclusively focused on building the corporate plan for approval at the September Board Meeting. Thereafter, it will be 50% business partnering and 50% corporate planning, working closely with sales leaders across the business.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong intellect; ICAAP experience not essential, but banking is; experience of planning, budgeting and management reporting; happy, humble and capable of transitioning seamlessly from shaping group strategy, down to hands-on operational work (as demonstrated by all of the senior team); a high impact player with the gravitas and commercial credibility to perform a Board role in due course; high intellect and strength of well-formed views; a person of the highest integrity, who will reflect the firm's strong ethics and values; a proactive, energetic, pragmatic, hardworking and inspirational leader with strong people and relationship skills. Able to communicate fluently and concisely - able to work with robust characters; able to approach a business from the top and the bottom - as comfortable with detail as they as with strategic planning; the maturity to challenge ideas and balance opportunities and threats as well as the confidence to contribute as a senior member of the leadership team in a fast-growing young business; comfortable operating in a management environment which is open and honest, lean, informal and dynamic, as well as one that spans a number of complex business issues.
