Clinical Deputy Manager - Charity Organisation
Location: Streatham, London
Salary: GBP45,000pa - GBP50,000pa
Hours: 40 Full time

This is an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Manager to work for an independent charity which was set up in 1800 which has been running for over 150yrs. This Home and Hospital cares for adults with severe disabilities and complex medical conditions. With four units it has a total capacity of 80 beds but can accommodate up to 127.

The Home also offers palliative care using the recommended national Gold Standard Framework to support this specialist area of nursing.

The Charity is led by the Home Manager and a management team of qualified nurses who are on duty 24 hours a day and are supported by an established and well-trained care team. Residents can be registered with our local GP practice which visits the home every day and takes responsibility for providing medical advice to the Home or if they prefer residents can choose to have their own GP.

We are looking for a motivated and inspirational Deputy Manager, who has the ability to influence, engage, and exercise leadership throughout the team with an open communication style. We need somebody who is able deliver a high standard of resident care and drive results within the elderly care setting

Your key duties will be to:

* Assist the Home Manager in the planning, directing and delivery of high quality person centred care.
* Direct and lead the clinical services within a nurse-led environment
* Ensuring the quality of service meets the national minimum standards and CQC standards
* You will be required to undertake staff reviews, team meetings
* You will deputise in the absence of the Home Manager

Applicants for this vacancy must meet the following criteria:

* Qualified Registered Nurse - Essential
* 3 -5 years post registration experience in a health and social care
* Evidence of previous experience of leading a team

The staff are experienced in caring for people with severe disabilities and life limiting, long-term complex health needs. They care for people who have progressive neurological conditions some of whom may require percutaneous endoscopic gastroscopy (PEG) feeding and who have acquired brain injury.
