Sellick Partnership are supporting a Not for Profit organisation based in Manchester City Centre in their recruitment for a Project Accountant. This is a momentous time for Greater Manchester, as it seeks to capitalise on its current trajectory, including the opportunities presented by the latest updates to the GM Economic Strategy and its ground-breaking devolution agreement with Government.

They are expanding its existing offer to businesses with the development of enhanced and exciting new services and needs individuals with the passion and capability to help them achieve their goals.

About the role:

They are looking to appoint a suitably talented individual into their Contracts Team in the role of Project Accountant to manage the financial and data management systems and processes for a range of contracts.


- Developing and maintaining financial data management systems and modelling tools
- Manipulating a wide range of financial data to support project activity
- Working closely with the finance team to ensure management accounts accurately reflect project activity and are regularly reconciled
- Providing timely information to the project delivery and management teams to enable existing projects to be effectively managed and new projects to be secured
- Maintaining and developing performance monitoring tools
- Managing risk and maximising opportunities through effective cost recovery

About you:

- Qualified accountant or working towards this
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of modelling complex financial data
- Comfortable articulating complex data relationships to a range of stakeholders at all level
- Experience of generating management accounts to at least the extended trial balance stage

You may have experience of the following: Qualified Accountant, Business Performance, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, Accountancy, Accounting, Risk Management, Accountant, Reporting, Analysis, Governance, Financial Accountant, Financial Management, Finance Manager, etc.
