Varied role for a successful SME Southampton based legal firm. The accounts manager will work with the FD and will take responsibility for day to day financial administration of the company.

My client is looking for someone to work 60% of a full time week.

Legal client accounting experience would be helpful but not essential.

Hours are negotiable (either reduced hours over 5 days or 3 full days) so please indicate your preferences with your application.

My client is open on accountants from a QBE or qualified or part-qualified background, but is looking for a confident personality, with the ability to make positive improvements happen in the function.

Duties include:

  • Full function purchase ledger
  • Improvement of systems and processes
  • Payroll (140 staff)
  • Expenses
  • Ad hoc projects with the FD
  • Monthly management accounts routines
  • VAT and Bank reconciliations
