We are working closely with a highly recognisable, fast paced business based on the outskirts of Norwich in search of a Payroll Manager.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the principal role is to be responsible for the management of the payroll, take the lead on delivering a Payroll system upgrade and deliver various projects to improve the efficiency of Payroll within the business.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Processing the monthly payrolls for employees
• Creating and posting the month end journal, including reconciling control accounts
• Analysis of payroll across cost centres, checking for monthly variances and reporting on exceptions
• Liaising with key budget holders to prepare budgets and forecasts
• Pension administration, including auto enrolment
• Reconcile year end payroll reports
• Manage P11D (Benefits) completion, distribution and submission
• Manage PSA (Payroll Settlement Agreements) completion and submission
• Ensure all legal requirements and deadlines are met (i.e. PAYE & NI payments & documentation, P60's, Attachment of Earning payments, Pension Payments, etc.)

Whilst there is no line management duties in this role, it requires the experience and expertise of an highly experienced Payroller, ideally with experience of delivering and leading on implementing a new Payroll system.
