I am currently working with a well established business based in the East London area to recruit for an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk. The job is full time and permanent and would suit somebody with a background in purchase ledger / accounts payable.

The company have been established for many years and have a busy accounts department, which would suit somebody personable who is looking for an integral job within a local organisation.

The purchase ledger job will include taking full responsibility for purchase ledger processing including:

High volume invoice matching
Posting purchase invoices
Taking telephone calls from suppliers
Statement reconciliation
Filing purchase invoices once processed
Preparing weekly BACS run
Liaising with other departments and dealing with queries when raised
Deputising for the Purchase Ledger Manager in their absence
Ad-hoc admin duties as and when required

Ideally the suitable candidate will have previous experience gained within a busy accounts office and have been responsible for purchase ledger duties previously or as a minimum, accurate and high volume data input. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, is essential.
