Offering clients unrivaled online strategies combined with no nonsense plain English, but with a highly creative approach delivered through a deep technical and sales knowledge. The team so far has been built from a variety of backgrounds, but generally are sales and marketing people who have built up their digital marketing knowledge through years of experience. They are not total geeks, but rather they have a passion for getting clients' online presence to work for them the best that it can.

The Role

We're looking for a dedicated Digital PR and Outreach Executive to work closely with our Content and SEO teams to deliver outstanding coverage for our clients' content. Through your previous experience in this role you'll know it takes a certain kind of panache to capture the attention of busy journalists and bloggers.

We don't use templated approaches, although we have a great understanding of what does work. We want the candidate to bring their own style and flair to client campaigns while remaining within Google's best practice guidelines. You'll contribute heavily within ideas sessions, use your research knowledge to uncover data driven link opportunities and always be on the lookout for new ways to promote your clients' content with new influencers.

The Digital PR and Outreach Executive role is key to ensuring the success of our clients' content marketing and PR plans, responsible for delivering high quality placements and building ongoing relationships with influencers.

The Digital PR and Outreach Executive role is responsible for providing research and insights that help to form the content marketing strategy for your clients, developing ideas for content execution and delivering outstanding placements throughout the lifetime of your clients' campaigns.

Core Responsibilities

  • Securing high quality content placements on top publishers and blogs for client campaigns including:
  • Trade, national, regional, niche press/journalists
  • Webmasters & web editors
  • Niche social communities / community managers
  • Bloggers
  • Influencers
  • Partners
  • Work in partnership with the SEO and Content team to develop content strategy ides for key clients
  • Research content ideas and participate in team brainstorming sessions
  • Use a wide range of tools for analysis, tracking, monitoring and evaluation of competitor link profiles to help inform and improve client link portfolios
  • Maintain expertise on outreach, digital PR and best practice industry trends
  • Utilise tools such as Buzzstream to track your outreach progress
  • Ensure our personas are kept active and being utilised fully
  • Produce monthly reports on links and placements acquired utilising tools to identify:
    • Brand mentions
    • Backlinks
    • Social Engagement (likes, shares, comments)

Experience Required

  • 1 -2 years' experience working in a similar role (ideally agency side)
  • Demonstrate evidence of placing press stories externally
  • Experience liaising with in-house teams, external suppliers, and clients
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Proven history of high level link acquisition via creative content marketing execution
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of a wide variety of creative and ethical link building strategies and techniques
  • Experience in delivering quality work within tight deadlines

Skill Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills (Inc. telephone manner)
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Articulate English skills - you must be able to use language persuasively as well as never fail to spot a grammatical or spelling error
  • Excellent organisational skills are a must, as the role will require you to assist with multiple priorities, projects and relationships
  • Able to work under pressure and meet key deadlines
