An exciting opportunity has arisen within the University of London Recruitment Services department for a Resourcer to work alongside our Internships & Recruitment Services team.

Job Role

Supporting the Temp Agency and Internships Team with duties such as:

  • Liaising with clients to ascertain all information for job posts before making them live on the system;

  • Advertising vacancies and carrying out mailshots on the system;

  • Advertising vacancies on external job boards;

  • Assisting consultants to review the applications received for their roles and shortlisting prospective candidates subject to suitability;

  • Liaising with candidates right through from their initial application, through to registration;

  • Screening candidates, booking interviews, applying for references from start to completion;

  • Shortlisting and speaking to potential candidates to ascertain suitability for registration;

  • Setting up placements and timesheets on the internal database;

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date candidate records at all times;

  • Supporting both our Temp Agency and Internship Team with other ad hoc recruitment projects;

  • Answering all relative admin and referencing queries;

  • Liaising with companies and chasing documentation for potential candidates;

  • Liaising with clients in regards to extension of current temporary worker contracts;

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach;

  • Effective communication skills is a must as this is a fast-paced, candidate facing role which requires a high standard of service;

  • Must have a high level of oral and written skills;

  • Flexible and proactive attitude;

  • Ability to work independently but also be a team player;

  • Ideally have recruitment or HR administration experience, having worked in a similar environment previously;


GBP12 per hour + holiday pay

At peak times of recruitment, this is a particularly demanding role that will call on your excellent organisational skills and the commitment and flexibility to work out of core hours. Your ability to "think on your feet" and your disciplined and accurate record keeping skills using IT systems such as Databases/Excel Spread sheets is imperative to the success of this role.
