Based in our finance department at our High Street Godstone Depot.
Credit controller required in a busy builders???????? merchants dealing with both trade and retail customers. The
company comprises four depots across Surrey and Kent. The main job requirements will include the
-Managing key accounts carrying out general credit control duties
-Checking customer credit ratings
-Open all new accounts
-Ensure compliance with new account credit application procedures
-Ensuring agreed credit terms are adhered to
-Working towards specific company guidelines, making sure customers pay within agreed the agreed time scales
-Chasing outstanding payments (calling, email and letters)
-Collection of overdue debts including institution, where necessary, of legal action
-Monitoring of outstanding debt position of customers against credit and exposure limits
-Ensuring that customer statements are accurate and distributed on a monthly basis
-Cover other accounts staff when needed
-To undertake such further duties as their skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or may be assigned him/her by the Company from time to time to suit the changing and developing needs of the Company
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and versatile. They must be proactive in their approach towards credit control and a good communicator. Candidates will also need to feel comfortable operating a computer based sales processing system for which full training will be given. A proven track record in credit control is essential.
