PERMANENT POSITION
PAYROLL TECHNICIAN

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Technician to join our key client based in Stockport. The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic and reputable organisation. As a Payroll Technician you will be responsible for providing technical support to the payroll department.
Duties Include:-
*Being a point of contact with business systems, oracle and Grampian issues including patch and application testing.
*Control and implement all weekly pay increases and back pay per departmental procedure.
*Assisting payroll managers in the production of pension and year end submission.
*Maintain departmental disaster recovery plan.
*Create payment schedule and upload filed for HL deductions weekly.
*Prepare quarterly reports for Group pensions and SSC management.
*Assist in set up of new payroll/ trans of payrolls
*Produce weekly EDI file and submit to HMRC.
*Produce and distribute weekly pension changes/ amendments to the dept.
*Create and send joiner files and reconcile to pension reports for standard Life.

Candidates must:-
*Have significant experience of all aspects of payroll.
*Have thorough knowledge of oracle payroll system.
*Have experience in processing payrolls, extracting information for reporting purposes, implementing pay increases and back pay.
*Have knowledge of Front End system processes.
*Have a high level of expertise in use of Microsoft Excel and Word packages.
*Be able to demonstrate well-developed planning and organising abilities, a high level of attention to detail and the capacity to work to demanding deadlines.
*Be willing to work flexible as some patch testing is out of hours

Salary:- GBP25,000 per annum.
Hours of work:- Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00
