We are working with a private training provider in the West Midlands area who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technical Trainer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a position at a longstanding and reputable training provider, and the role is a permanent full-time role, comprising of 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Friday: 8.00am - 3.30pm).

You would be based at the training provider's centre in the West Midlands, where you would be asked to train on their Mechanical Engineering programme. Much of the training will be based around Machining in the workshop, and also Mechanical Maintenance (including maintenance of hydraulics/pneumatics).

The starting salary for this position is circa GBP32,000 per annum, which would increase to GBP34,000 p/a after the probationary period of 6 months. The package also includes a pension, private medical insurance and a health cash plan, and 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays such as Bank Holidays).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification at level 3
-Experience of milling and turning
-Experience of mechanical maintenance
-Some experience of training or assessing

A teaching or assessment qualification are not necessary to apply for this role, and the training provider would support you through (and pay for) these qualifications if you were passionate about doing this. Of course, if you have these qualifications already, that would be ideal.
