REGIONAL TRAINING OFFICER - 40 HOUR WEEK

Salary GBP23,500 - 24,000 dependent on experience

Exemplar Health Care operates 25 care homes for younger adults with a variety of needs. Our support centre based in Rotherham but soon to relocate to Castleford and houses all the usual functions of, payroll, training, IT, marketing, finance, etc???, and works closely with the homes to ensure that they are able to provide first class care to their service users. We are one of the leading providers of specialist residential care in our field, with exciting expansion plans to strengthen our portfolio. This is an exciting time to join and be part of the friendly training team, who with extensive experience and support you will be a welcome addition to the team.

This role is a regional role and will be based in the North West Region providing support within the training team to services on a regular basis. You will provide an additional functions to our Home Managers, ensuring that, all aspects of training and general administration are effectively supported. Our support centre is currently based in Rotherham but soon to relocate to Castleford, West Yorkshire.

On a day to day basis, you'll be involved in:

Delivering mandatory, induction and refresher training across your region, including subjects such as safeguarding, moving & handling, fire, NAPPI and more
Working closely with registered care home managers to identify individual and group training needs
Supporting and facilitating specialist training in your region
Monitor training compliance and deliver training reports for your region
Support and facilitate apprenticeship programmes and training in your region
To observe care practices to monitor the efficacy of training

But what about you? You should have previous experience in a training role with various experiences of mandatory training matters. It would be advantageous if you have worked in a healthcare environment but it is not essential.

You will need to have an eye for detail, be very experienced in the use of computers (Microsoft Office) and be able to work quickly and efficiently, managing your workload according to the priority of the training needs

You should have great communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build relationships with people at all levels. You should be able to work as part of a team, whilst also using your initiative and raising any concerns or issues to the relevant person.
