Our client, a multi-billion turnover European plc is well established in the UK. They are renowned, as a contractor, for delivering major high-profile construction projects and, as a service provider, for the long-term facilities management contracts, on behalf of an impressive portfolio of blue-chip private, central government and other public sector clients. By continuously growing organically and through some recent strategic acquisitions, they have significantly increased their UK market share and expanded their technical capabilities.

Looking forward, with a strong order book and enhanced service offering, the CEO is now seeking to appoint a COO to take full accountability for their FM business. To be considered, it is essential that candidates:
  • Are proven in leading a UK maintenance or technical support services businesses where you have held full P&L accountability for revenues in excess of GBP200m
  • Bring an established track record and strategic insight within the FM sector, ideally encompassing both hard and soft services, and can evidence recent business development gains as a result.
  • Should be highly commercial in the negotiation and execution of some complex contracts, including experience of PFI, and strong in the financial management, reporting and planning of your business.
  • Can demonstrate a robust career record of continuous and highly progressive employment, where strong leadership and an innovative approach has resulted in enhanced operational delivery and bottom-line performance.
  • Possess the gravitas, influencing skills and market reputation to enable you to quickly win the confidence of clients, the executive team and plc board.
  • Ideally live in the South of England within commuting distance of London.
