Robert Half Accountancy & Finance is supporting a Stretford based Logistics and Construction business in their search for a newly created Financial Controllers position.
The role of Financial Controller is a semi newly created role within the organisation, as the look to overhaul the Finance, Operations and Senior Management team.
This massive change has come about following the organisations recent IPO and Private Equity investment. This has lead to the injection of a talented board of directors, who are looking to take this GBP95mill t/o business through to GBP150mill in the next 2 years.
At the moment, there is a reliable transactional finance team which requires leadership and mentoring through to a level of effective. At the moment, the team "doesn't know what good looks like".
My client is looking for a talented Qualified Finance Professional who use Finance Business Partnering, Operational, Commercial and Transactional experience to grow and develop teams.
The Role The role of Financial Controller is at a pivotal point within the organisation, and will be seen as a step change in how the organisation uses and creates financial information.
Your team at present will consist of 5. This is broken down by 3 in Transactional Finance and 2 in Management & Financial Accounting. You will be tasked with growing this team and restructuring to utilise their experience. You will be in a pivotal role within the business, engaged with both the Commercial and Transactional sides of finance, providing a conduit to the board and helping drive organisational efficiencies. Creation of robust and effective internal controls, with a clear vision of how this will form the bedrock of the organisations growth and is imperative to the success of this position.
The growth plans are such that my client is looking for a qualified accountant who has the dynamism and know-how to help achieve their current goals, while planning for the future.
The roles key engagement area's will be:
- Create a highly effective finance team
- Effective Man Management of current team and mentoring
- Budgeting and creation of budgeting tools across the business units
- Creation of a KPI reporting - Sales & Operations
- Financial Modelling
- Board level engagement
- Costings and Deal Modelling to create effective
The successful qualified accountant will engage with internal stakeholders across the organisation and will therefore require excellent communication skills which can be used to demonstrate the commercial value of finance. Your Profile The successful candidate should have a "can do attitude", and be willing to "roll their sleeves" and get involved with the business. Salary & Benefits
For the right qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) my client is looking to circa GBP55,000
