Safeguarding Manager and Behaviour Team Member
Sussex Recruitment are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Manager to work within the education sector for students with special educational needs.
You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to all staff in terms of safeguarding practices to ensure that the all educational, social, emotional and physical needs of the learners are met and within legal requirements.
You will require at least three years experience of working within the education or social care settings for children/young adults with learning disabilities with an awareness of local, national and organisational Safeguarding policies and procedures and be proactive when supporting other members of staff with referrals and related issues. You will be an effective communicator in order to liaise with Safeguarding Leads and Parents as required.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic you will be able to build positive relationships and have total commitment to the principles of Equality and Diversity to develop strategies to manage behavioural risks. The post holder will be required to commit to undertaking a Level 4 in Positive Behaviour Support if they do not already hold this qualification.
Your own transport would be advantageous as there may be some need to travel between sites on occasions. This vacancy will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
