As a large county Norfolk has 6 localities delivering services to children and families. Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, Breckland, South Norfolk, North Norfolk and Broadland, Gt Yarmouth and Norwich. Each locality in the area has a dedicated Head of Social Work based locally and is co-located with a strong early help service.

Cromer is a seaside town with a beautiful coastline, Cromer Pier and Pavilion Theatre and a variety of "boutique" shops and places to eat. For those of you that enjoy the beach life this is the coastline for you. There are good links into Norwich by road, rail and bus. Cromer has a community feeling with small villages, local friendly pubs and community hubs. Children's Services office base is central and shared with our Early Help Teams and North Norfolk District Council.

Our Broadland teams are based on the outskirts of Norwich, in Thorpe, with Early Help and Broadland District Council. From the A47 southern bypass all the way to Norwich, following the river, there are many places to eat and drink as well as enjoying the views.

To join our social work team it is essential that you have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and full HCPC registration. You will need to have at least 2 years post qualifying social work experience (which includes your Assisted and Supported Year in Employment) and the ability to travel. If you feel that you have excellent practice leadership skills, the experience and enthusiasm to promote best practice and keep staff motivated, then we are keen to hear from you.
