Hamilton cross have been approached to find a new Deputy Manager for this exceptional position. This mental health hospital is located in Surrey and is for males 18years and above in low and medium secure units.

The centre consists of;

- 38 Medium secure units

- 10 enhanced low secure units

- 17 low secure units for the elderly and frail

- 10 bedded PICU

- Rehabilitation flats

The role consists of but not limited too;

- Providing a high level of support to service users

- Being able to build a good relationship with patients and those involved in the direct care e.g family members and other health care positions

- Be able to follow NMC guidelines at all times

- Compile care plans and risk management plans

- Assist on pre-admission assessments

- Lead shifts (under direction)

- Able to deliver evidence based practices

- Manage medication under their polices.

- Promote health and safety

- Manage sensitive data

- Act as a mentor/preceptor and promote the development of student nurses and other team members

- Assess junior staff nurses with a development programme

- Accept responsibility for leading a shift when the team leader is absent

- Delegate appropriately

- Provide clinical supervision

- Co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment

- Managing and direction the delivery of clinical services within the ward - ensuring it complies with regulations

They require you too;

- Have excellent communication skills - both verbally and written

- Be qualified as an RMN

- Be able to work in a team and independently

- Have commitment to helping patients

- Held a position as an RMN for 2+ years

- Have leadership qualities

It is an advantage if you have CPPD mentorship preparation for healthcare professionals (level 6) or an NVQ Assessors Award
