Headteacher - Full-time - Special Needs Position
Salary scale - GBP50,000 - GBP63,000 depending on proven skills and experience, plus reasonable relocation expenses and/or accommodation on site for the right candidate.
Start date - ideally January 2018
We are very excited to advertise for a new Headteacher at our wonderful special school in a beautiful part of the country, near the Kent coast.
Building on our history of successive Ofsted judgements of good with outstanding features. This has resulted in sustained increase in student numbers excellent potential for further growth. This is a crucial time of development for the school with opportunities for innovative working and forward thinking to influence the next phase of the schools' journey.
We are looking for a highly skilled leader to enhance the senior management capacity of the school. They will work as a critical part of the team with our Directors and CEO to develop a clear strategic plan. The Headteacher will need to design, recruit and further develop the Education team they need to make the plan a reality.
We are keen to hear from experienced senior leaders with expertise in supporting students with Special and Additional needs, who are able to lead in particular:
- the development of an innovative curriculum,
- high quality teaching, learning and assessment,
- effective multi-disciplinary partnerships,
- a vibrant and stimulating team with a focus on mentoring, coaching, action research and action enquiry,

Ripplevale School is an independent day and residential special school for boys aged from 6 to 18 who have been statemented as being on the Autistic spectrum with associated conditions. Our school is located in the village of Ripple near Deal in Kent.
