We are looking for a Leasehold & Commercial Officer to join the team on a part time job share basis for 12 months. The role is 18 hours per week working Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-1pm. The role is based in Norwich but will include some travel to offices around the country.
About the role
This is a fantastic role delivering a quality, customer focused management service to a portfolio of commercial properties.
Some of the key accountabilities include:
- Ensure that the landlord's repairing obligations under the terms of The Group's leases or tenancy agreements are complied with at all times
- Assist in the preparation of Tribunal cases as directed by the Commercial & Leasehold Manager, attending tribunals as necessary
- Administer all requests for subletting of shared ownership dwellings
- In conjunction with the Leasehold Surveyor provide the necessary Licence to Alter for proposed leaseholder improvements / alterations
- To provide specialist advice and assistance on all matters relating to leasehold law and interpretation of leases for operational staff, leaseholders, solicitors, and agents
You will have proven experience in the management of leasehold and freehold properties and an excellent knowledge of the property / housing market. You'll have up to date Landlord and Tenant law knowledge with experience of calculating service charges and apportionments. You'll be a proactive problem-solver with excellent prioritisation skills and have a minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
