Payroll & Benefits Manager - GBP40k to GBP50k + Bonus & Bens - Edinburgh

A global Asset Management and Fund Manager seek an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to come into the organisation and be subject matter expert for all Payroll & Benefits.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR EMEA based in London this role is a key hirer and will work closely with the HR Team based in London and the Finance Team based in Edinburgh.

This is also a stand-alone role so your payroll skill set needs to be of a very high standard along with your benefits exposure, however this role also offer an introduction into HR, Global Mobility and Reward so your career can really flourish in the evolution of payroll.

The Role:

  • Managing the local and expat payroll along with a small number of employees within Netherlands, Germany, France and Dubai

  • Liasing heavily with the HR Manager in the NY office as in time this payroll will fall under the Payroll & Benefits Manager

  • Be the key Payroll, Benefits and HR contact for all business units and some operate completely separate to the main bulk of the business

  • Work closely with the HR Team in London and the Finance Team based in Edinburgh

  • Key contact for PWC, in house Tax/Finance Managers and Global Mobility Team

  • Manage year end reporting P60's and P11D's

  • Key contact for HR, Finance, Senior Stakeholders

  • Manage the transfer process for the movement of payroll from London to Edinburgh

Benefits:

  • Manage pensions, medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Group Income protection, Death in Service, Salary Sacrifice and Flexible Benefits

  • Work closely with the HR Team to help define benefits and pension schemes

  • Work closely with brokers in line with the current benefits but also new benefit additions to the firm

  • Look at ways of improving the benefits offering

  • Be the lead on promoting benefits throughout the firm

The person:

  • Must be a proven Payroll & Benefits Manager/Professional

  • Ideally have some HR exposure

  • Systems wise my client use Excel and Workday, payroll is outsourced to ActivePayroll

  • Must be the type of person who likes to role their sleeves up and get involved in more than just the payroll

  • Must have strong communication skills across all levels of business

  • Must take pride in developing existing and new relationships

  • Can't be afraid of taking on HR, Global Mobility and Reward duties
