We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to develop insight and understanding of the financial performance for our client. The role involves building relations with key service leads, understanding of operations and any financial consequences to decision making. Supporting the service with financial modelling to provide credibility to business cases and leading on the financial forecasting and budgeting.

The role:

You will be supporting the development of our clients strategy and Business Plan.

Lead on setting budget timetables, ensuring timely engagement with services to develop budgets that support the Service Plans and the Business Plan of our client.

Work effectively with services to provide high quality financial advice so that service priorities are delivered within available resources.

Review of monthly reports with stakeholders to better understand business drivers, and incorporate learnings into the forecasting process.

To provide technical support and advising of any financial consequences of decisions being taken.

Support evaluation of propositions through financial modelling of option appraisals, providing net present value, payback and return on investment assessments factoring in associated risks. Make recommendations to senior management & directors.

Develop and present reports to the Board and Executive Leadership team on financial performance, providing insight and understanding of risks and opportunities, making recommendations as to what actions are to be taken

Developing improvements in monthly reporting as needs for improvement identified.

To take ownership and oversee cashflow projections, to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing liabilities.


•Managing budgeting and forecasting processes accurately and to tight timescales

•Production of quality financial models to assess financial viability of options.

•Advanced excel skills with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data into suitable presentation format and draw appropriate conclusions.

•Operate as a self starter across a broad range of complex financial issues.

•Commercially astute with the ability to provide a quality assessment on future financial viability

•Develop relationships with key stakeholders including Board members, suppliers, and auditors.

•Professional outlook delivering high levels of customer service


•Recognised Finance Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
