I am currently looking for a new Business Development Manager, specialising in architectural hardware.

My client are a leading design and manufacturing company of bespoke sliding and folding doors, through our innovative design we have become well recognised as a leading manufacturing company in the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

*Management and development of existing customer accounts within the sales channels: door manufacturers, joinery companies, builders merchants, wholesalers, DIY and architects
*Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential future customers to deliver business growth and increased market share
*Develop, maintain and strengthen effective relationships with key customer contacts that lead to profitable sales
*Carry out face to face appointments with targeted decision makers and influencers
*Develop sales plans that support objectives for sales, profit, market share and competitive account penetration
*Penetrate competitive accounts through creative, solutions-based strategies
*Promote the brand, product range and end user solutions to create demand for new business
*Drive sales by providing solutions to customers using technical knowledge of our products
*Maintain current customer/account information regarding customer visits, personal contact information, product updates and issues, etc.
*Report on market trends and possible future opportunities for the company
*Provide customers with detailed quotations
*Provide customers with training for our products

Key Requirements

*Strong commercial sales experience with demonstrable track record of sales and profit growth
*Good architectural hardware product knowledge, specifically sliding and folding door hardware, highly desirable
*Working knowledge/experience of selling architectural hardware to joinery, door manufacturers, and architectural ironmongery customers, essential
*Experience of specification sales, advantageous
*Commercial acumen with intense customer focus
*Territory management and forward planning skills
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Current driving licence
