I am currently recruiting for a new Business Development Manager to join my clients leading security solutions company, based in London and the surrounding Home Counties.

We provide security products and solutions for homes and businesses, as an experienced specifications sales professional, you will work with architects and contractors, developing our project pipeline and selling our range of architectural ironmongery products.

Key Responsibilities:

*Management and development of existing customer accounts within the sales channels: contractors, specifiers and architects.
*Develop a project pipeline by working with Internal Account Executive to drive engagement with contractors and specifiers.
*Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential future customers to deliver business growth and increased market share.
*Develop, maintain and strengthen effective relationships with key customer contacts that lead to profitable sales.
*Carry out face to face appointments with targeted decision makers and influencers.
*Develop sales plans that support objectives for sales, profit, market share and competitive account penetration.
*Penetrate competitive accounts through creative, solutions-based strategies.
*Promote the brand, product range and end user solutions to create demand for new business.
*Drive sales by providing solutions to customers using technical knowledge of our products.
*Provide customers and contractors with detailed quotations.
*Provide customers, contractors and specifiers with training for our products.
*Maintain knowledge of our products/service offerings, industry/competitor trends and customer requirements.
*Develop, communicate and maintain the company sales and marketing policy in association with the Commercial Leader.

Key Skills:

*Commercial sales experience with demonstrable track record of sales and profit growth.
*Strong architectural hardware product knowledge
*Knowledge or experience of contractors and specifiers, essential.
*Experience of specification sales is advantageous.
*Commercial acumen with intense customer focus.
*Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
*Strong negotiation skills.
*Ability to manage competing priorities with strict time constraints.
*Territory management and forward planning skills.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
*Current driving licence.
