Lead Practitioner - London (Grenfell)
Winston's Wish is a national charity providing support to bereaved children, young people and their families.
This is a unique opportunity to make a difference to the children and community affected by the Grenfell fire as well as other bereaved children in the London area.
We are looking for a committed, dynamic, self-starter with excellent therapeutic and networking skills.
The post-holder will lead on the development and delivery of Winston's Wish support in the area. The community includes people with different faiths, cultures and languages. Support will need to be offered flexibly with cultural sensitivity and is likely to involve joint working with other voluntary and statutory organisations and community groups.
All applicants will have a clinical / therapeutic qualification in psychology, counselling, art and play therapy, psychotherapy, family therapy or therapeutic social work. Previous experience of childhood bereavement is desirable, however we are more interested in relevant professional experience and a commitment to working with children and families.
You should be enthusiastic about working as part of a dynamic and creative team and you will have excellent interpersonal skills, especially in communicating with children.
