Production Workflow Engineer - The Client


I'm currently working with a leading advertising production agency based in the heart of London. They are experts in the production of video, digital and print campaigns for some of the largest brands across the world.


In the last 10 years they have grown from 14 people to over 1,100 across the globe and show no signs of slowing down. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a global forward facing integrated agency with a thirst to push the boundaries and challenge the norm.


Production Workflow Engineer - Your role


The Production Workflow Engineer's primary responsibility is to maintain and troubleshoot production systems in order to provide a fully functioning production environment, either on site or remotely.


Production Workflow Engineer - Your Responsibilities



  • Set up and maintain all production management systems including Esko Automation Engine; DubSat Adgate, and other project management software.

  • Set up and maintain all other application suites/systems. This includes (but not limited to); MacOSX Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk, ProTools, Cinema 4D, GMG Colour Server, Font Explorer etc.

  • Development of end user scripting using AppleScript to optimise workflow.

  • Using JAMF Pro to set up workstations and deliver updates.

  • Perform regular maintenance and back-up operations as required.

  • Escalate faults to specialist Engineers, engaging with external parties when necessary

  • Assist support desk in troubleshooting and resolving issues.


Production Workflow Engineer - Your Skills



  • Extensive experience in a similar media production/post production environment.

  • Experience in implementing and administering production systems such as Esco Automation Engine, Dalim Twist or Chili Publish (or equivalent).

  • Expert knowledge in Mac OSX; Windows or Linux.

  • Knowledge and experience of relevant scripting languages (AppleScript / JavaScript).

  • Technical experience of JAMF Pro (desirable)

  • Experience in XML/SQL Development (desirable)

  • Knowledge of Visualisation Technologies (desirable)
