Operations Director - Specialist Directorate

Midlands/Milton Keynes

(Other locations considered where there is reasonable proximity to majority of services)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and forward-thinking Operations Director to lead the Specialist directorate within Compass.

Compass works in communities currently within the Midlands, Yorkshire and London providing innovative and integrated health and wellbeing services for children, young people and adults. Our Specialist directorate is made up of pioneering risk taking behaviour and early help services for vulnerable children and young people/adults, and specialist substance misuse services for young people and adults. Our Universal and Targeted directorate provides transformational school aged healthy child programmes and prevention services. Over the past 5 years our portfolio has undergone significant expansion to deliver services that focus on a broader lifestyles agenda - substance misuse, sexual health, mental health and emotional wellbeing, and healthy relationships.

The Operations Director - Specialist services offers an exciting mix of strategic leadership, operational delivery, partnership and model development. As a member of the senior management team, you will work alongside a highly committed Board of Non-Executive Directors, bringing strong leadership, drive and passion to play an integral role in delivering the organisation's strategic aims.

You will have senior management experience within community-based health and wellbeing services for children, young people and adults. You will foster a transformative and solution focused approach, working with Assistant Directors, Service Managers and topic experts to find innovative solutions to complex health and social problems. With highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills you will be able to motivate and inspire your team to exceed objectives and strive for excellence and develop long lasting partnerships. You will be creative in identifying and developing the right opportunities for innovation, development and growth and will have a track record in building successful relationships with key stakeholders and writing bids to secure new business.

If you are visionary, compassionate, commercially resourceful and able to demonstrate the highest personal values, you may be just the person we are looking for.

The full role description and further details on how to apply can be found in the candidate brief.

Closing date: 28 August 2017 (we may close earlier if high volumes of applications are received); Interviews: Monday 4 September 2017

Compass is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. We value diversity at Compass and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
