Registered Care Manager - Rotherham - GBP29000 to GBP36000 per annum Full Time

Experience required - 1 Years Residential children's care home management.

Purpose and Objectives

To work corporately, collaboratively and in keeping with the ethos of our client and
to oversee and implement the running of the home in accordance to their
Values, policies and the Children`s Homes Regulations 2015 including the Quality Standards.

Duties

The following duties are those which the registered manager can reasonably be expected to fulfil

  • To ensure a high quality service is delivered and maintained effectively in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • To ensure the home is compliant with its Statement of Purpose
  • The work in accordance with Policies and Procedures including the equal opportunities policy and anti, discrimination practice in all aspects of activity
  • To ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the staffing levels are appropriate to the young people needs
  • To accurately record and carry out all activities in accordance with procedures and support colleagues in doing so
  • To manage your own personal and continuous professional development through supervision, training and different learning opportunities
  • To recruit staff in a robust manner
  • To write and compile reports , business plans, risk assessments and the homes policies as required
  • To have a quality assurance procedure
  • Implement all recommendations within timescales from the Regulation 44 report and Ofsted Inspections
  • To promote good health and safety at work for you , staff , residents and visitors
  • To oversee the day to day running of the home
  • To promote team development and effective team working
  • To promote and model anti-discrimination behavior and attitudes at all times
  • To supervise staff every 4-6 weeks
  • To oversee and implement necessary training for the staff team
  • To match the young people suitably and complete impact assessments
  • To work in conjunction with the placing authority , local authority and other professionals
  • To ensure that effective finance budgets, controls , administration and records comply with expectations and procedures
  • To attend or when necessary delegate to a suitable candidate meetings for the young people.
  • To manage any complaints, and disciplinary procedures
