We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, reliable and motivated individual to join our team in Barnet, North London as a Deputy Care Manager of our residential service on a permanent full time basis.

Salary: GBP24,327 - GBP27,436 per annum inc. London Allowance
As a Deputy Care Manager in Barnet, you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to the seventeen adults who live here and have a range of complex needs, including sensory loss and learning disabilities. You will be a frontline hands-on manager you will effectively running a highly quality innovative service, managing the rota and maintaining a team of appropriately trained staff. Special attention will be paid to facilitating and monitoring personalised active support and the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximise the potential of each person we support.

Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and participating in the 24 hour on call rota along with your colleagues; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.

We would like to hear from you if you are a committed, flexible and enthusiastic team player who is experienced in supervising, coaching and mentoring a team of Support Workers and perhaps Team Leaders. You will be IT literate and able to undertake some administration duties. You'll have substantial experience of providing care and support to individuals.
The ideal candidate will have experience of planning and delivering a range of learning activities, or access to opportunities, coupled with experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals.
You will be willing to undertake training and development including working towards BSL level one.
