Deputy Chief Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Chief Nurse based at Denmark Hill but with some cross site working.
Working closely with the Chief Nurse, Divisional Directors of Nursing and Associate Directors of Nursing, the post holder is responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive and robust professional leadership, guidance, advice, and strategic direction to the nursing, midwifery workforce across the Trust in order to ensure that patients are managed and cared for safety, efficiently and effectively.
The Deputy Chief Nurse will hold a full portfolio of responsibilities as agreed with the Chief Nurse and deliver against this portfolio which includes responsibility for delivery of clinical quality and patient safety, policy/service and strategy development and education and research.
You will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Chief Nurse across the full portfolio of the director's responsibilities in his/her absence and as required, including representation at Trust Board level and external to the Trust in relation to director-level responsibilities.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with substantial experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Head of Nursing. You will be an inspirational leader with management skills and have an excellent track record of achievements of objectives. In addition you will be committed to the positive leadership and development of nursing and midwifery.
