Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per Year.

To monitor work based activities in the workplace, liaising with employers to ensure the timely development and success of apprentices.

Undertake work based assessment of learners, including direct observation of candidate performance in line with awarding body criteria. Ensure timely reviews in the workplace with the employer and apprentice.

To deliver off-the-job training and assessment in a workshop setting and formal classroom based teaching where required, supporting the students with their progress in learning. Recruit learners and employers to the apprenticeship provision.

Provide appropriate support and guidance to all learners. Set, track, monitor and review learner progress, welfare and achievement against Individual Learning Plans, using the college systems and process.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C or willingness to undertake within the job role) and NVQ L3 Electrical Installation (A1 and V1 desirable or willingness to undertake within the job role)
